Let me begin by welcoming you to worship with me today, it’s great that we can be here together.

Today our Great Big God Story is about a time when Jesus and the Disciples were doing some teaching and so many people followed them.  When it came time for them to eat Phillip wasn’t sure there would be enough food to eat, but Jesus knew what to do….

I wonder????

Sometimes the stories that we read in the Bible seem to be so impossible that we forget to look for the way that God was moving in and around the people.  Especially through the way that Jesus was showing them what to do.

I wonder…can you recall a time when you went somewhere to eat with a whole lot of people and it seemed as if there wouldn’t be enough food to go around? Then when you got to the end of the meal there was still plenty left?

I wonder…how was the boy feeling?  Do you think his family was there anywhere with him? I wonder how they might have felt?

I wonder…what happened to all the left overs?

I wonder…did Jesus really make those loaves and fish feed all of the people?

I wonder…what we might hear God saying to us about the way in which Jesus feeds us?

I wonder…What feelings you use to describe this story?

I wonder…what words you use to describe this story?
