TWTR, RCL Year B, Pent 18 [26B], 26th September 2021

Welcome to this week’s episode of Tea With Two Revs, joining me at the virtual coffee table today is Rev Elizabeth Raine from ACT. This week explore the story of Esther as we read this along side Mark 9 and James 5 as we unpack the place of the wisdom of women in scripture and question the felt absence of God at times in our lives.

Our readings from the lectionary for the week can be found here.

Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai:
“Go, assemble all the Jews who are found in Susa, and fast on my behalf.
Don’t eat and don’t drink for three days, night or day.
My female attendants and I will also fast in the same way.
Afterward I will go to the king, even though it violates the law. If I perish, I perish.”
